By the end of my first year of grad school, I had been able to identify a number of things I had been looking for in architecture school which I was not getting from the university I was attending. I at times asked myself if I should transfer to a different university, one that may offer me more of the opportunities I now knew I was looking for. I had chosen my university for a reason and they were reasons I still believed in so I decided, instead of transferring somewhere new, I would make the opportunities I was looking for. I founded a student organization named StudioCulture which offers cross collaboration opportunities among Interior Design Students, Landscape Architecture Students, Fine Arts Students, and Architecture Students. StudioCulture also offers a design/build project every semester, software workshops, mentoring opportunities, and many opportunities for inspiration through the exposure of different ideas, conversations, and experiences.
